A Classic Eastern Ontario Stone Home

Circa 1840 stone home with several additions over the years, including a main floor family room, an attached garage, a large apartment that can either be completely separate or a part of the main home and so much more. Large principal rooms, high ceilings and big windows make for a very pleasant space. Much of the original detail and charm remained.

SELLER TRIED LOCALLY ~ THEN CALLED US

This property had a tremendous presence from the road.

Set back – but not too far it was a classic representation of the limestone homes of Eastern Ontario.

Clearly built for a family of means – the original home had tremendous detail both inside and out.

We listed the home after it had been offered for an extended period by a local agent.  There were some things about the home that to some would add value (pond, apartment, barns set up for horses – but for others those same features could be challenges for others.

In the end it took over 14 months to find the family that was the perfect fit.

When that happened I received a call from a small town in Quebec “is that home still available – I want to buy it”

One showing and it was done.

The point is – the buyer would never have found this home on traditional marketing platforms.
