This is one of those properties – a great story

The Seller had been on the market for a while with a local agent.

But was not have success and called us for help.  We took a look at their home and had a very general but limited conversation with them about our business model and how we work.

At A Stone Home we are very fixed on our approach.

At that time they didn’t feel they were a match for our model and chose to try another avenue.  No problem here – what we offer is a very specialized method and platform that has taken years to build and maintain. It represents a significant investment of both time and money and we believe it brings value to the process.  Value we expect to be compensated for.

We always wish people well – and leave the door open.

(The sellers didn’t know this next part)

After we had viewed the house, we came away with the strong feeling that it was the perfect match for a member of our Stone Home Community who we’d shown several other homes over the last year or so.   We reached out and introduced this person to the property.  They did some investigation on their own and came to the conclusion that there were some neighbourhood influences they didn’t like and did not want to view the property.  Again – no problem here.  We carried on.

Fast forward 12 months …….

The seller called again – they had still been unsuccessful in finding a buyer and were now ready to have our help.

We went out – shot the photos, did the video, took the measurements and fell in love – what a lovely home.

We came away saying “THIS IS PERFECT FOR ____” they still had not found the right home.

A call was made – and with a little persuasion the buyer relented and came out for a look.

FELL IN LOVE !!!!!

The deal was done.

After months of frustration the home was sold in a matter of days.

First Settled by William Heron in August 1845 this property and the families that lived on it have made great contributions to Canada becoming the country that it is. Constructed using the field stones found on the property this is an exceptional example of masonry skills. Splitting and squaring these large granite stones has always been an art, but the level of excellence in pattern and color displayed in this house is beyond the norm. You’ll catch yourself staring at the walls, the arches and the corners.

Private But Less Than 30 Minutes To Toronto

This home has been stripped to the walls and rebuilt using the finest materials and with all permits and inspections. You can be confident in the integrity of the structure and the systems. High ceilings, large windows and wonderful wood floors create the feeling of yesterday and bring a warmth and comfort you have to feel to appreciate. Large principal and gathering rooms create such a sense space for family and friends. And you will want to share .. winter and summer …

The grounds are beautiful, featuring a large pond and creek (skating parties with a fire) . Truly an oasis after a busy in the city, and such an easy ride. You enjoy the best of all worlds when you live here.
